Zori is the plural of Zorya (Ukrainian) or Zwezda (Polish, and either way: star). Sometimes considered the Slavic
equivalent of the triple goddess, the 3 Zori appear in Slavic mythology as guardians (or Auroras) of the Universe.
They guard a giant chained dog just itching to eat the constellation Ursa Minor, also known as the little bear. If the
chain should break and free the dog, pop goes the world. The 3 Zori are known as Morning Star, Evening Star,
and Midnight Star, or Zwezda Dnierca, Zwezda Wieczorniaia, and Zwezda Polnoca (Polish).
Um...okay. Whatever. Now seriously: why ZORI3?
ZORI3 is 3-in-1: Morning (News+Announcements), Evening (Reviews+Views), and Midnight (Magic Words, or
creative writing+art). Tidbits and this-and-that about each Zorya will appear on each page to offer some insight as
to why they were chosen. If it isn't clear (or you don't care), you're welcome to draw your own conclusions, just
consider it a cool name, or tattoo it on your body. I recommend some place above the neck for better advertising.
When can I expect updates?
Once fully ignited, every Tuesday. Check the homepage frequently if you like, for ramblings, requests, and the
occasional breaking-news update.
Can I link ZORI3 to my site?
YES! A shower of silver stars and sugar plum kisses in your direction if you do!
What can I do to help?
Put the URL on a t-shirt or bumper sticker. Make this your homepage. Send me long letters about how
wonderful/awful this site is. I'll post the best letters just for kicks. Send your friends to the site. Send your small
press books. Send your indy music. Send your guerrilla art. Send your words. Send your ideas. Send your
feedback. Send a picture of your mother. Send a dozen long stemmed roses and a more heartfelt greeting card.
